The superb medieval town of Dinan is situated 30k from St. Malo in the department of Côtes d'Armor (22) in Brittany. It is easily reached from the UK as Brittany Ferries have services services not only to St. Malo but also to Roscoff and Cherbourg. Exmouth is fortunate to have been twinned with Dinan since 1972 and the fortieth anniversary was celebrated during a memorable visit to Dinan in 2012.
Every other year during a summer weekend Dinan holds the Fête de Remparts, a medieval festival. The Association has visited and participated in the event on a number of occassions. The next Fête de Remparts will be held in 2021.
